Director, Global Concerns India
Brinda Adige is a leading advocate for children's and women's rights, making remarkable strides in these critical areas. With a career spanning decades, she has consistently championed innovative approaches to protection, justice, and empowerment. She is part of the Karnataka High Power Committee against Human Trafficking, Task Force against Human Trafficking with the District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru and the Convener for Mukti-An Alliance against Human Trafficking and bonded Labour.
In 1992, Brinda pioneered work on child-friendly policing while working with BOSCO, building advocacy and collaborative actions supported by UNICEF. Her efforts were instrumental in streamlining CHILD Ashram in Nellore and Sathi in Raichur. //In 1997, she founded Makkala Sahaya Vani, India's first dedicated child protection helpline, revolutionizing the country's approach to child safety. Additionally, she developed the "People-Friendly, Gender-Sensitive Police Training" module for the Karnataka State Police, transforming the way law enforcement engages with communities.
From 2015 to 2018, Brinda spearheaded the "Safer Cities Free from Violence Against Women and Children" initiative, supported by the Hans Seidel Foundation. This initiative significantly enhanced access to justice through the Karnataka State Commission for Human Rights and was instrumental in establishing the Karnataka State High Power Committee Against Human Trafficking.
Currently, as the Director of Global Concerns India, Brinda focuses on advocacy, capacity building, communications, and resource mobilization, empowering marginalized communities and fostering a safer, more equitable society.
Alastair George Christie

He was a Geography teacher. He believed that people in society are generous and willing to share. The important part is connecting the ones who need assistance with those willing to support. Alastair worked extensively with the Scottish government on inclusive programs to involve the diaspora from countries like India, Africa, Mexico and Spain.

Narayan Adige, the founding President of Global Concerns India, has been instrumental in leading the organization since its inception. His career began managing tea estates in Munnar, after which he transitioned to Bengaluru, where he gained extensive experience in the stock market and real estate business.
As the President of Global Concerns India, Narayan plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's vision and mission, focusing on education, skill training, and championing human rights, particularly for vulnerable women, children, and youth in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Under his leadership, the organization has also prioritized community development and environmental sustainability.
In his role, Narayan ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, including meticulous record-keeping, timely filing of documents, and adapting to changes in legislation. He also prioritizes fostering strong relationships with donors and partners to secure sustained support for the organization's initiatives.
Narayan's leadership continues to guide Global Concerns India in its mission to create meaningful and sustainable change for marginalized communities.
Kalpana PV
Vice-President, Global Concerns India
Kalpana P.V. serves as the Vice-President of Global Concerns India, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the organization. A practicing lawyer in the Karnataka High Court and the director of the Advocates Cooperative Society in Bengaluru, and sits in the panel that campaigns for old and terminally ill prisoners, under the aegis of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority. Kalpana combines her legal expertise with her passion for social justice.
She has extensive experience working with civil society, particularly with children living on the streets. Her strengths lie in developing educational modules and systems tailored to the needs of vulnerable children and young people, fostering social development through innovative educational and sports initiatives. Notably, she was part of the pioneering efforts of "Budhivantha," spearheaded by Fr. George Kollashany at BOSCO.
As the Vice-President, Kalpana supports the President by participating in board meetings, leadership gatherings, and organizational decision-making. She also serves as acting President in the President's absence, ensuring continuity in leadership. In addition, she oversees internal operations and plays a key role in building and maintaining strong client and partner relationships.
Kalpana's expertise and commitment to social change are vital to advancing Global Concerns India's mission of empowering marginalized communities.

Treasurer, Global Concerns India
Suresh is a farmer who specializes in Organic Farming. He has over 30 years of experience in managing a transport company and holiday homes. As the Treasurer of Global Concerns India, K.A.Suresh plays a vital role in managing the organization's financial resources and ensuring the utmost trust and integrity in handling public funds. Operating mostly behind the scenes, his responsibilities are crucial to the organization's sustainability and accountability.
K.A.Suresh is responsible for preparing and maintaining the organization's budget, providing insightful advice on spending habits to ensure financial stability within budgetary constraints. Each year, he prepares clear, accurate, and timely financial reports, helping to maintain public trust and transparency in the organization's operations. While many of his duties involve accounting and banking, K.A.Suresh is actively engaged in the organization's activities, consistently aligning financial strategies with the organization's overarching mission. His ability to connect the organization's finances with its goals ensures the continued success and impact of Global Concerns India's work in empowering marginalized communities. He has worked across multiple genres in both tactical and eladership roles with India's leading media brands including Star TV, Radio City and CNBC TV18. A passionate animal activist Sneha is deeply involved in the welfare of animals, in particular the feeding, sterilisation and health of close to 50 stray dogs and cats in her residential area.
